If you are interested in joining the City of Ely Swimming Club, first have a good look around our website for all the information you need.
We train at the Paradise Pool in Ely on Mondays (7.30pm to 9.00pm), Wednesdays (7.00pm to 9.00pm), Thursdays (7.00pm to 8.00pm) and Sunday mornings (8.00am to 10.00am). Swimmers are expected to compete in Galas when selected, which are usually on Saturday evenings (on average two per month).
There is an annual fee payable to the ASA to cover membership and insurance.
The Club fees are payable monthly via direct debit and depend on your level within the club and the number of sessions available to you at that level (the coach agrees with you what level you are at, based on ability).

There is no minimum (or maximum!) age limit – entry is based on ability. Generally, you will need to be able to swim all the strokes to a reasonable standard (50 metres or 2 lengths) and at least 200m (8 lengths) freestyle. Children who have passed Swim School Level 10 or above are usually accepted, although those at lower levels may still apply for a trial. There is not currently a waiting list to join.
If you are interested, please come along to the pool on any Wednesday night at 7.00pm and speak to our coach, Elaine Hill. The trial is 1 hour, 7 - 8.00pm.
